22 Days To Go!
Filed under juice feastingJun 7God I can’t wait until the days to go is in the teens! As summer moves on and the days here in the northwest grow warmer so does my taste for solid foods! Things are going along as usual. Not a whole lot of new stuff to report.
Let me go through some of the food intake lately:
2-3 Quarts of Green Juice /w WheatGrass, Apples and Kale.
Young Coconuts
Hemp Oil
Kelp
1-2 Quarts of Tomato Juice /w Coconut Oil

We’re about right on time as for as we’re not eating as much high sugar juices as we were a month ago and we’re starting the parastroy about a week late but that’s ok we’ll be done with it by the time we break the feast on the 28th!
Weight Loss:
Start Of Feast: 185lbs
Current Weight: 156lbs
Total Loss: 29 lbs (Not bad for 70 days eh?)

Marcus Day 67!
Filed under juice feastingJun 3Man, it’s like day 67! Reminds me of back in 1967 when I was…
Another cloudy day here in Portland and I enter into Day 67! This time of year I really crave the sun! So as a antidote to that problem of lack of sunshine I have been spiking my green juice with Wheatgrass! Yes, I’ve been growing it as I got a bunch of leftover compost from my garden and it’s made a great addition to my daily juicing! Wheatgrass has about 80% chlorophyll which is condensed sunshine so I’m getting my sun at least! If you do wheatgrass you want to make sure your not doing too much. If you haven’t done it before start with 1 ounce and work your way up from there. Even with being on green juice since April as I have I still found this morning i overdid it just a bit with 5 shots.
Energy is about to ramp up with the coming solstice so hang in there!

Mary’s Day 66
Filed under juice feastingJun 3Day 66 of juice feasting in PDX!
It’s hard to believe that I’ve gone 66 days with no solid foods and no alcohol (or coffee) =). A big part of me is looking forward to seeing this to the end and moving back into “reality”. Another part of me is a little apprehensive. This juice feast has been an amazing experience and the deep cleansing I have received I only have pure joy and gratitude for. However, the idea of taking what I’ve learned from this feast and putting it to practice is a little scary. Will I overeat? Will I go back to bad habits..cheese, coffee, heavy carbs, lots of naughty alcohol? Will I gain all my weight back or more? I would like to say no to all of that and can say so pretty confidently. However, there is a little voice of fear that talks in my head and I’m going to have to make sure she keeps it zipped. I can’t believe that on the 29th of this month I can actually put something solid in my mouth to chew and SWALLOW! I’m so proud of myself and Marcus for pushing ourselves to complete this and working as a team! We both are transforming the way we view and place our health for both of our lifetimes. We will walk away from this changed people. We both grew up on very starchy, fatty, fill-your-plate, eat-everything-on-the-plate, sedentary life styles. Our new outlook will be one of health being a priority in our lives and to get our booty moving each day. These last days of feasting we will be planning our attack back into the real world of solid foods. We will be making meal plans, buying some raw recipe books, coming together and deciding what it is we want to eat daily. We have also started our weight workout program that includes cardio. Yesterday we committed to 6 months at the local gym! I’m so excited that we are also purchasing a Excalibur dehydrator so we can have even more variety and options for healthy raw living food creations!
On another note, I had someone say to me the other day that they admired me for sticking to this “diet”. I had to giggle at that though gracious for the compliment. I had to kindly tell them that this is a cleanse first and foremost. The levels of cleansing I’m reaching have been out of this world. My skin, all of it, looks so healthy and bright. I have lost weight but it’s not just that it is my body getting rid of what it does not need. My sinuses are so clear and I’ve had not one allergy issue on this cleanse. My colon feels scrubbed =). I know overall my body is thanking me for allowing it time to rest, heal, repair, rebuild, alkalize, etc.
So would you like to know what foods I can’t wait to eat? =) Here it is…avocados, dill pickles and OLIVES both green and black! Also, I can’t wait to eat a summer tomato nicely sliced up with some delicious sea salt sprinkled on top. We have a wonderful raw, vegan restaurant here in Portland called Blossoming Lotus where we plan to have one of our first big meals back!
Cheers to juice feasting in PDX!

26 Days To Go!
Filed under UncategorizedJun 2Marcus here! I got 26 days more to go on this Juice Feast! Happy post memorial day to everyone I made it through my last holiday weekend on this feast. I tell ya these long weekends when your feasting can be tough because everyone is drinking and BBQ’n and such. Life can seem so detached on a feast! But I am so happy the way things are coming together. I lost a ton of weight, I’m working out again. Also the stages of the feast are coming together. I am migrating to less sweet juice and to more green and mildly sweet juice. Also the detox period has wound down and I’m soon to flush the parasites and begin the probiotic phase. It’s been a wild and crazy experience. We’ve changed some things up. We’ve decided to nix the celery juice for the rest of the feast and replace it with Tomoatoes. I am also growing wheatgrass and putting that in my kale juice to help augment the nutrition. I tell ya, a quart of apple/kale juice with a couple shots of wheatgrass added for good measure will wake you up in the morning!
On another note I just bought 6 months of gym membership in advance to tighten up! That is something I’ve NEVER done before in my life! Looking forward to summer!

May 30
It’s day 63! Only 4 more weekends of going to the store and picking up cases of produce! Yes! I am ready to stop juicing however there is a bit of Apprehension with the reality of becoming attached back into the full on holographic mind. Let me take a moment to explain what I mean by that.
In everyday life we are all living in one big world. Our thoughts make up our reality. We are continuously processing information and constructing the world around us though our thoughts. Your reality influences my reality and every one else’s in the world! We are all living in the same universe and thus, we are all free to create the reality we so choose. However, because we are not alone every individuals “take” on what is real “modifies” what we are able to manifest in our daily lives. We are constantly imprinting our will upon the world and the “output” which we see is what is known as the material world around us.
Juice feasting has shown me how much you can detach from this global morphogenic reality. Being on this juice feat I literally feel like I am on another planet. I have detached from most of my friends and my social life is about at Zer0 at the moment. It’s memorial day weekend and the usual BBQ’s and parties are going on and not only have I not been invited to any of them, I would not attend if I was. I have no interest at the moment in socializing with the outside world.
I am truly disconnected and on a whole other frequency level. The information we process in our minds is tuned to an array of many frequencies. Everything vibrates, it’s all waveform. When you do a juice feat you simply are taking your tuning knob and turning it a bit to the right. The rest of the world becomes pure white noise. You start to not even notice they are there anymore, and they the same. This is necessary for doing a juice feast you are going to be taking your body into a state of heavy detox and starting a huge cycle of personal transformation. It’s important that you have a quiet home that you can withdraw to during this time. As you get deeper into your feast you will start to notice that the reality that was around you before is becoming more static in the background. You start to notice your passive role in the world. Right now I am truly centered in myself, in this wonderful world of personal transformation. I don’t care to leave it.
Even though I’m getting tired of making and drinking juice and I am ready for solid food again I am not wanting to leave this “frequency” just yet. I can see now where people who are breaking their feast talk about not wanting to. It’s not about going back to solid foods, not at all. It’s the Apprehension of having to take on the real world once again. When you break your feast after being on it this long you simply are taking your tuning knob and turning it back left to where you were before you started this amazing journey!
This juice feast has taken me deeper into myself than I ever thought it would. I have committed myself to 6 months post feast weight training to complete more of the physical transformation of my body. I never thought I’d say I want to go back to the gym again. I don’t find the gym to be that healthy of a place spiritually and, lots of exercise in the gym is very robotic however, I have the opportunity to complete my physical transformation. To rebuild and repair most of the damage I did to my body over the years with drugs, overeating, and self destructive behavior. This is the right time and opportunity to do so for me!
As always do what is right for you!

Mary’s Day 63
Filed under juice feastingMay 30Day 63 of juice feasting in PDX!!
Been a long time since I’ve blogged. What can I say? What excuse can I bring forth?I don’t have much to go on except to say the past month has been a tad brutal! =)
I won’t lie. Being in a city makes juice feasting a challenge. Our culture is most definitely centered around food and alcohol. Food and alcohol are everywhere. Every other shop I pass is food related, or a bar, or a coffee shop. Just taking a road trip to the coast can be eye exhausting. Events you get invited to are food or alcohol related. It’s been a real eye opener! I’ve stayed strong though and have much appreciated the lessons learned from this so when I do get back to eating solid foods again I hope to not fall into past pitfalls. Past habits. Past beliefs about food. I hope to manage more self-control because this juice feast has taken a lot of that! =)
On the up side of the feasting, I feel and will say it…look great! I’ve lost 30lbs so far, my skin is clear and has a healthy glow! I’ve started a weight workout program and will be moving my butt more in my life. I’m not a big fan of the gym mentality, no offense to those who love the gym, but I did have a revelation that I have to move more in my life… everyday for the rest of my life. So I’m here to love it! =) That means weights in the gym, sometimes cardio in the gym but also taking my cardio outdoors into our beautiful Portland summers! Marcus & I are moving our lives towards health being a priority! Finding a healthy balance of foods we love, with a workout program and overall a more active, healthy lifestyle change! We have our awesome vita-mix in the kitchen now and are looking into getting a dehydrator and good food processor. Our kitchen will then be complete so we can start making some yummy raw, living goodness! I have no plans to be 100% eater of living foods but definitely will be consuming more than I have in the past 2-years. There are some foods I want to still enjoy like Thai food! =) So I will find a nice balance that my body can appreciate. Our focus though will be making more yummy foods in our own kitchen so they are enjoyable and healthy!
Only 29 more days to go! I won’t lie again…I look forward to having solid foods but it will be bittersweet because there are some things coming up when I think about putting solid foods in my mouth again. Though I will blog more about those things when we get closer. =)
Cheers to juice feasting in PDX!

Marcus Day 59!
Filed under juice feastingMay 26Wow closing in on day 60! Pretty soon I will be starting my 30 day countdown back to solid foods! I have had some amazing experiences with this juice feast however, I am ready to go back. Juicing is getting old, but not old enough to make me want to stop. I have done lots of detox and now it’s time to do a little more and, clean out some parasites and start to rebuild the good flora in my colon! This is a pivotal time of any juice feast I think. This is not in any way a SLOW process. I have not stopped missing my special foods but I have adapted. I’m looking forward to drinking a cold beer and having some grilled goodness. But there is still work to do.
Mary and I both got sick in the past couple weeks which was unexpected but we both forged ahead. I heated up some tomato juice (100 degrees f) just under the enzyme destruction limit and made some juicy spicy soup! It was a welcome warm change from all the cold juices. Here’s the recipe!
1 Vitamix Full Of Tomatoes
2 Cloves Of Garlic
Blend and Strain in Nut Milk Bag
Pour juice into sauce pan and add:
2 tsp pepper
1-2 Tablespoons Salt
5-10 drops tabasco sauce
You need to have a fast acting thermometer so you don’t get the juice too hot and kill off the nutrition. Heat up until the thermometer hits under 100 and remove from heat.
Pour into soup bowls and add additional drops of tobasco on top and kelp powder for garnish!
This turned out to be yummy and is a great heated way to get your juice! Since we’re writing the rules as we go I am hereby stating that heated soups are a NECESSITY to any juice feaster as long as they follow traditional raw living protocol and don’t injest the pulp.
Ok, so that’s about all I got for now, enjoy the soup! Stay Tuned!

May 21
Wow time is moving along with this feast. Lots has happened since my last entry into this adventure. I had thought starting out that I would be able to do blog posts more frequently and generate more content. However, in the last couple of weeks the motivation to talk about the feast is becoming less and less.
Last week I actually got sick which was pretty intense. But it wasn’t like “oh god I’m on a feast, what do I do?” I mean like what could I of done food-wise to make it better, nothing. LIke what was I going to start doing? Eat prunes and transition back to solid foods just because I have been detoxing and that manifest as something in my throat? Of course not!
It has been intense and being sick those few days really brought out the worst in me. I can be a bit cranky when I’m sick as we can all but being on this feast with the rest of the detox going on and the emotional feedback was pretty bad. Mary had to remind me that I was being quite the ahole and needed to chill out.
It also further complicated things that I have house guests so, just having other people around seemed to fuel my annoyance. It was nothing personal towards my guests, I enjoy having them here with me but, it might be a good thing to note if you have family coming to visit you during your feast it might be best to see if they can postpone their trip.
I’ve been rolling right along. There have been some serious bouts with wanting solid food. I read about other peoples experience and how they almost didn’t want to go back to solid foods. That’s not the case with me. I’m enjoying the effects of the feast but, summer is coming. I’m ready to have a beer and some or some salad and wine! I am also looking forward to having smoothies again!
What can I say, that is my reality, yes I love all the effects of the feast but, solid food is here for a reason and my body loves it! This is along the lines I’ve said before about how it’s important to make sure that you do things that are right for you!
Some other things I haven’t been able to get my mind around as part of the juice feasting regime. Hot/Cold showers, sorry I’m not in the tropics or south, it’s still winter weather here, I’m not taking a cold shower, I’ll deal with the flabby skin for now. Maybe when it starts to get warmer. Also the stonebreaker extract is NASTY, can’t do it. Well I can but it’s not pleasurable! I refuse to do anything that doesn’t side mostly with pleasure! The enemas I’m still after and, the intake is pretty much the same.
We picked a time of the year where many of the fruits are veggies are out of season. Also we’ve tried juicing several others however, kale continues to be the best for us.
Fruits and veggies we’ve been jucing:
Green Curly Kale – 4-6 Heads/Day
Celery – 2-3 Heads/day
PineApple – 1 In the evenings (makes 1 Quart)
Strawberries
Blueberries
Tomatoes – Made Alone or with Celery
Apples
Things we have juiced and didn’t like:
Green Leaf Lettuce
Chard
Cucumbers (OK but, kinda harder to go down than the Celery)
Other things we’re putting into our bodies:
Salt
Kelp
Ginseng
Herbal Teas
Hemp Oil
E3 Live
Bee Pollen
Coconut Oil
Tabasco Sauce (Moderate!)
Garlic
Water
Coffee (Enemas)
The main juice we drink daily in the daytime is apple/kale with Celery. That provides us with 3 Quarts of juice during the day. In the evening we make our fun juice with tomatoes or other sweet fruits. I know, they say end the day with a green juice but that doesn’t happen instead I take a shot of E3 Live!
As I said do what is right for you! Also approaching day 60 I am starting to understand why so many people drop out around this time. Days 50-60 are a pivotal time and, it’s really easy to come up with reasons not to finish your feast! But don’t give up, push on, you’ve been doing it this long! WE’re going to ride this puppy all the way to the end!

Day 36 Video Update!
Filed under juice feastingMay 13Here’s the Juice Feasting Video from Day 36 we promised! Enjoy!

May 11
Happy Monday Everyone! It’s Day I want to say 43? I guess I need to check the calendar and count.. Hold on a sec….
Wait? It’s only 41? Maybe it’s 42? Heck I don’t know for sure but whatever it is, I’m still drinking 3-4 quarts of juice everyday with superfoods and NO SOLIDS! I’ve gone from about 180-185ish to 164 and I haven’t even reached the halfway mark! This isn’t just about weight loss though although, the weight loss is nice! This past week I’ve had some bad juju come to the surface.
I’ve actually lost my temper a couple three times, which isn’t like me. I have always had a nasty temper and, I have done well in the past decade to keep it under control for most of the time. I must expect old things to surface as I continue to cleanse away years of buildup from bad food, drugs, and unhealthy choices.
I’ve talked about how juice feasting throws you and keeps you in the present and, this is a large part of what fuels the intensity of the experience. We have been brought up in a society where we take a pill when we don’t feel good. Or we have a drink, or smoke something. Even the archangels talk about libations and wine for when guiding souls gets a bit too hectic! So when you can’t take something to help “take the edge off” as we all do from time to time this can make daily life quite a bit more intense. This is however, in a very positive frame of reference.
I have been working on being present with others for years. It’s a real challenge to take the time to be present with people you come across in daily life. To be able to take the time to look someone in the eye, and synchronize with their divine spirit before continuing your interaction is a greatly under taught skill of humanity. As I have living daily life for the last 40+ days in total presence this has given me a whole new outlook on presence. This experience of being present in everything I do, good or bad has been one of the greatest gifts of this experience.
I am looking forward to solid foods again, as much as I do enjoy the “high” of the juice feast and all the other positive effects, I could not see myself wanting to go on for an additional 30 days into the summer. I am looking forward to enjoying summer and all it’s yummy goodness but, for the meantime I am staying the course, and going to ride this puppy all the way into day 92.
As far as food goes it’s a really weird time of the year as a lot of the produce such as melons are out of season. So we’ve been sticking to our kale/apples/celery/cucumbers for the staple juices during the day and then at night and on weekends we’re eating young coconuts, pineapples, strawberries, blueberries, oranges and other misc exotic fruits we come across. Superfoods are still E3Live, Bee Pollen, and Spirulina. Supplements and misc round out the regime are MSM, Kelp Granuals, Salt, Stonebreaker Extract. I think that’s all, it’s getting late and my brain isn’t 100% functional.
For those of you following along thanks for being here, I hope you’ve found the information here helpful so far and I hope you continue to monitor our progress either through this blog, or our RSS feeds or Podcast.
Oh yeah, that reminds me, I still haven’t gotten a chance to edit the video we made from day 39 or was it day 40? I can’t remember. In any case it will be out soon. Maybe I’ll make another cool presentation as well, well see.
Have a great week!
